How does the content filter work?

CHKDRS uses a bundled AI model to detect and censor sensitive areas in images in real time. Everything runs locally on your device -- no images are uploaded, no internet connection is required.

Unlike browser-based NSFW blockers or screen-wide content filters, CHKDRS works at the image viewer level within your own library. You choose what to filter, how it looks, and how hard it is to turn off. It's not about blocking access -- it's about giving you control over your experience.

• CHKDRS is cross-platform compatible. We plan to provide builds for macOS/Linux/Docker in the future.

Note

This is a media library management tool. No content files are included. The content filter processes images entirely on your device -- nothing is sent to external servers.

Development was AI-assisted (Claude Code). All code, design decisions, and QA are author-reviewed and MIT-licensed.
